Translation

I was doing translation for my uncle with his Japanese friends / clients. It was a business meeting about selling the cell phone idea my uncle has developed.

Translation was difficult i found. Not only i have to translate word to word, but sometimes I have to be able to filter out words or phrases that work in Chinese but Japanese. Also, when both sides were talking at the same time, I needed to listen to my uncle's words while keeping my attention in the other party; so I won't lose track of what's going on at the same time.

All words have to be filtered, processed, and finished in my mind and ready to go instantly. Though I am frustrated at times, it's really a good learning experience nontheless. I feel that I am improving everytime I am doing it.
