Which Is Better?

The grest disney legend Milt Khal, perhaps the best drafsman in animation history (well, as they called) ,worked in silent condition. He never listen to music while working. He reasoned that he's not smart enough to concentrate two things at once.

The father of Japanese animation, Tezuka Osamu, the creator of popular manga such as Astro Boy and Black Jack works with loud classical music. Because he was widely influenced by classical music in his family and he too was a musician himself. He said that listening to classical music gets him into a different state and thus his creativity bursts.

My conclusion, learn from the greats, but don't take it blindly. Their methods aren't necessarily work for you. You are unique and only you know what's better for yourself. So, find your style and develop your own thing.

Plastic Tea Pot

Last night a friend of mine served us his best Taiwanese tea (Alisan tea), but for some reasons, the tea tasted like water. First I questioned the quality of the tea he bought. He must have bought some cheap and fake Alisan tea. But then I tried his other selections, they were still all tasted like water. It's like the flavour never came out of the leafs. My other friend kept saying that the tea was good. Boy, she was either just trying to be nice and fake it or she had no idea what real good tea tastes like.

Anyways, I checked out his equipments and I realized that he was using a plastic Japanese tea pot all along. Immediately I thought that must be the reason for the bad tea he's been serving all night. It seems like the plastic tea pot, compare to the usual ceramic ones, can never absorb enough heat inside the pot to bring out the real flavour of the tea.

Someone Who Is Complicated

A friend of mine, whom I asked about a movie she has recently seen, and she ended up telling me the entire thing. I wanted just a simple logline and she spent 20 mins on the story. That's the reason why I think she is a complicated woman, who has a tendency of making things difficult.

What Were They Thinking?

I had a hot pot dinner with a couple of my girl friends tonight. One of the girl was complaining about his boyfriend all night long. According to her story, the current guy, whom she has been dating for 4 years, is everything she doesn't want as a boyfriend. He is not romantic, he is not sensitive, he is dull, and he is not handsome. Despite all these reasons, she is still with him.

When I was with my ex-girlfriend, I gave her everything I had in mind for my perfect girlfriend. I gave her romance, I gave her surprise, I gave her careness, I gave her entertainment, and I gave her space and freedom. I rode 40 min bike to her place just to see her. I made note of her schedule so I won't mess up with her day. I asked about her family so I will understand her more, and I offered to introduce my close friends hoping she will understand me better too. Despite all my effort, she left me after 2 months.

What were these women thinking?

Ikenoue Bazar

Today was the Ikenoue Bazar. I signed up for the garage sale and was very fortunated to get rid of many big stuff in my room; such as electric stove, bloom, light, speakers, video tapes, and etc. I was totally surprised at how things were gone in such fast fashion. I guess people just wanna get something cheap.

I also made a poster for my basketball team recruitment. But there was only one guy who inquired about the team and he was a total amateur. Tough luck.

Other than the sale event, I really enjoyed socializing with customers dropping by my area and also local neibours who were involved in the event. It was a fun day that I got to be more familiar with people in this area.

And, at the end of the day, I realized that I forgot to bring out my fan to the sale. Ha, though I was calmed before the event, I guessed I was a bit excited and overwhelmed by the crowds :)
