The Same Old Story

Last night I met up with my ex colleagues and had a couple of drinks together. For the entire evening I heard nothing but complains from the guy who used to be my supervisor. It was the same old stories about people not following his orders and how he hated his job. Since I no longer work for the company, I guess either he felt cmfortable talking to me or there's no one that's willing to listen to his "stuff", he just let it all out. Me and the other guy had no choice but to say "yeah yeah, ah huh ah huh..."

If he hates his job so much, why doesn't he try to change it? It's been half a year since I left the company, but I haven't seen much changes at all; especially the way I see my ex supervisor. I am sure he can do something to the way things go in the company. However, I guess he chooses to shut up and swallow his own frustrations.

One interesting thing I noticed was that he was holding his leather bag the whole night we were drinking. According to him, the bag wasn't brand new. It's probably 3, 4 months old. But the way he protects the bag makes me wonder. Maybe that's why he keeps complaining instead of solving problems. Because he feels insecure about things.
