bad shoelaces

I had problems with the oval shoelaces when it came out on Air Penny2. I couldn't tie it well so I had to give up wearing it and gave it to my brother. This time I bought the retro Air Pippen and once again it came with the oval shoelaces. Like the old time, the shoelaces kept loosen up on me. Just when I didn't give a damn about it, there I was, twisted my ankle during practice this morning :( Ouch! Lucky enough, this time I can still walk and the ankle doesn't look too bad. However, need time to heal the bruise and restrain from exercise for a couple of weeks.
