Out goes my computer

It was totally unexpected that last night, after I came home from workout, my computer was fried. At first I thought that it was a temporary power outage that had caused my computer to shut down. Then when I tried to turn it back on, I noticed that the power did not seem to go through. After a couple of tests, I concluded that either my power supply was broken or my motherboard was fried.

More sadly, I've learned that there's no way to replace the parts because the computer was a specific model and both the power supply and motherboard were built specifically. So, unless I can find the same model out there in the market or send it back to the factory, there's no way to replace the parts. Ouch~!

Rather than spend a bunch of money to fix the old computer, I've decided to move on with a brand new one. It's about time to get a new one anyway since I had been using the same one for almost 4 years, and besides, it was dated.

Today, while I was putting the old computer and monitor to storage, I thought that I would never imagine the coming of this day without any mental preparation. Things happen and you just have to be ready for the unexpected. Accept the fact, deal with it, and move on.
