I had a fun ride home today from downtown Tokyo to Machida. On my way home, I stopped by a lot of great cherry blossom spots and took pictures of them. While I was taking pictures, I noticed that even Japanese are fascinated about cherry blossoms. Everyone passing by brought out cell phones or cameras and took a couple of pictures of their own. Which was interesting, because you would tend to think that they would pretty much numbed because they see cherry blossoms everywhere every year, but yet they still excited about it. This Saturday would be the expected full bloom in Tokyo. I'm looking forward to the cherry blossom viewing (Hanami) this year. Maybe I should try Woo-long tea while enjoying the cherry blossom, since I'm kinda addicted to Woo-long tea lately.
I also discovered this very good Ramen restaurant on Koushuukaido. (甲州街道) The small corner restaurant caught my attention when I saw lots of autographs on the wall. Shouldn't be bad if there are so many people willing to sign there, so I thought I should give it a try. The ramen didn't disappoint me; especially the rich and sweet soup of the Miso Ramen. The roasted pork (chasuu) wasn't too salty and the soup went well with white rice too. There were other flavours too, like soy sauce taste. Definitely I'm gonna try that next time. Now I have one more good ramen restaurant to add to my list and take my brother to when he comes :D
After my lunch, I started pedaling again. It was a long ride home, and I was lost at some point, so ended up I rode about 40 mins and went right back to where I had the ramen. My knees were hurting about half way through. My journey home began at around11am and finally got home around 5pm. So, I figured that I had enough practice for the day, and probably been a little bit hard on my legs recently, so decided to take a rest and not going to the gym tonight. After all, rest is very important if I want to continue training on a consistent basis. And also, I am going to start watching out what I eat and how I eat from now on. I think it's time to be more efficient on my training.
After all, too much stuff for a should-only-takes-10min blog?? ... (-_ -;)?
